Today I Know about KEY

TYPEOF KEYS, ALLOWANCE CLEARANCE & TAPER TYPE AND USES OS KEYPULLER'S

Let's start :-

Key (कि )

Key is a samll parts of metal. Its used to remove place between shaft or hub. Key size take according to diameter of Ratio.

Its used in not fixable (अस्थाई ) part of machine.

Material :- Specialy made by carbon steel, Mild steel. Its used in GEAR, PULLY, WHEEL to attach Together shaft.

Its also says ' key seats ' or key ways.

1. SUNK KEY:- Its type of key for fitting

1. PARALLEL KEY (समांतर कि )

2. TAPER KEY (टेपर कि )

3. GIB-HEAD KEY ( जिब-हैड कि )

4. THIN TAPER KEY ( पतली टेपर कि )

5. WOOD RUFF KEY ( वुड रफ कि )

7. DOVETAIL KEY ( डवटेल कि )

1. PARALLEL KEYS :- Its type of key are equal in shape and to protect Relative Rotation. To give permission for sliding or Axial movement.

Type of Parallel key

Type-A:- Keys with both ends round.

Type-B :- Keys with both ends Square.

(In Fig)

Type-C:- Keys with both end round. But Its have a Screw hole to fit on shaft.(In Fig)

Type-D:- Keys with both ends square. Its have a screw hole to fit on shaft.(In Fig)

Type-E:- Keys with both ends Round. Its have a 8×7 and 10×8 hole size.(In Fig)

Type-F:- Keys with both ends Square and its have a two screw hole. One hole is 12×8 mm Size and Other Taper Jackin screw.(In Fig)

Type-G:- Keys with both ends Square and chamfer. Its have screw hole.(In Fig)

Type-H:- Keys with both ends Square and chamfer . Its have Two screw holes.(In Fig)

Type-J:- Keys with both ends Square. Its have one hole for Spring dowel sleeves.

2. TAPER KEY :- Its type of keys have Rectangle cross section And its taper ratio 1:100 from breadth.

TYPE-A:- Keys with both ends Round. (In Fig)

Type-B:- Keys with both ends Square. (In Fig)

Type-C:- Keys one ends Round and other is Square. (In Fig)

3. GIB-HEAD KEY :- Its also Taper keys. Square Head chamfer at 30°. Taper ratio is 1:100. (In Fig)

4. THIN TAPER KEY :- Its like a taper keys

But difference is its longer than taper key.

According ti IS:6166 its used only 22mm to 230mm shaft diameter.

5. WOOD RUFF KEY :- Its shape like a sector and fit on shaft in straghit Flat part of hub fit in keyways. Its used in a Transmission of power. Its fit maximum 40mm diameter shaft. (In Fig)

6. FEATHER KEY :- Its like a plan key or Round key Its used on moveable parts and slideing parts.

* Peg feather key:- In this centre of key one hole diameter according to breadth. Its used to fit hub keyways hole. (In Fig)

* Single Headed feather key:- Its like apaln key but in one side make head .Its used fit to hub with screw . (In Fig)

SINGLE HEADED FEATHER KEY

*Double Headed feather key:- In this end with head and slide to and far with hub.(In Fig)

7. DOVETAIL KEY :- Its make Dovetail key shape. Its key fit in partof rectangle shaft and Dovetail part fit with hub and to fit with the help of Soft hammer.(In Fig)

8. CONE KEY :- Its is a Turncated cone segment. On axix have cylindrical hole . To make taper hole on hub for fitting shaft mount. (In Fig)

9. TANGENTIAL KEY :- Its type of key are used in pair and to touch shaft tangential fit. Its used for 60mm to 500mm diameter of shaft. Its fit at 120°angle in Flywheel and Rolling mills .(In Fig)

10. ROUND KEY :- Its look like a round key and its have round cross section. Its fit between shaft and hub in keyways. Some ROUND key have taper at 2:100 or 1/6 diameter . (In fig)

2. SADDLE KEY:- Its type key don't need to cut shaft for fitting. Its used for low load work( हल्का काम) because to slip in heavy load. (In Fig)

1. FLAT SADDKE KEYS ( फ्लैट सैडल कि )

2. HOLLOW SADDLE KEY ( हालो सैडल कि )

1. FLAT SADDLE KEY :- In this key have one side is flat surface therefore when its fit in shaft then fileing or machin on keyways according to key. Its used in low load work. (In fig)

2. HOLLOW SADDLE KEY :- Its like a falt saddle but difference only in flat saddle key is falt but in hollow saddle key have Round. Round according to shaft. Its also use for low load work. (In Fig)

File are used in Machanical engineer workshop, industry, many place according to cross section, grade or cut. Ex-Falt file, Bastard file, Double cut, Triangular file, smoot singal cut, half round etc.File are used foe fileing on metal and wood ect.

2. ROTARY FILE :- Its type of file have plan cylindrical shank couldn't use by hand. Its used in electric motor with the help of flexible shaft or also used in in Drilling machine with the help of drill chuck. Its used to make a tool and dye maker. (In Fig)

3. CROSSING FILE :- Its also know as fish back file. Its cross section in Ellipse shape. Its used in curved palce. (In Fig)

4. MACHINE FILE :- Its type of file have Double cut. Its used in fileing machin with the help of shoulder strap. Its used in internal or external fileing . Its most use in

5. CROSS CUT FILE :- Its type of file are used in cross cut saw machine. Its look like a knife edge file. And its have one edge is round. Its type of file have single cut. (InFig)

7. BLOCK FILE:- Its have in rectangular cross section and its used from one side. Handle fit on top face. Its used on big surface fileing and also used on wood. (In Fig)

8. TINKER FILE :- Its have Rectangular cross section. In this file have bottom cut. Handle fit on top face. Its used fileing in Automobile section for after seat body tinkering. (In Fig)

9. RIFFELER FILE :- It another name is Dye shink rush riffeler file. Its used in dye shinking or filing of dye cavity. Its also are used in silver work. (In Fig)

10. SETTING FILE :-Its type of file are made by bending of hot falt file with the help of wood hammer. Its bend at different angle. Its also used in make keyways and fileing on donw surface. (In Fig)

11. BARRETE FILE :- Its type of file have flat Triangular cross section . Its have breadth face. Its used in sharp corner finishing. (In Fig )

12. BAND FILE :- Its used fileing on bend saw machine. Small-Small part of file in rectangular shape are attached on steel belt. (Jn Fig)

13. CANT FILE:- Its have triangle cross section. Its bend from top at 120° and from base 30°angle. Its used in less than 60° angle slots and groov fileing.(In Fig)

14. PILLAR FILE :-Its look like a hand file and taper from breath. Its used on the place of hand file and square file. (In Fig)

15. PRUNNING SAW FILE :-Its shape like a Parrellogram and Square. Its another name is Feather file. Its used less than 60° angle and fileing in internal groov. Its used from only one side and edge. (In Fig)

16. FLEXIBLE FILE :- Its type of file make without handle. Its used catch in special tyoe of material to fit in shoulder. Its used only curved surface and Automobile section. (In Fig )

17. NEEDLE FILE :-Its have in important grade. Its buy in set and in one set have 6, 8, 10 and 12 files and have different shapes. Tang are in round and bod are nurling. Its used without handle and also used in Tool maker, jewellery making, watch size.(In Fig )

18. WARDING FILE :-Its have taper in breadth. Its used for fileing slots and keyways. (In Fig)

19. DREADNAUGHT FILE:- Its type of file have curved cut, Miller cut and Straight cut. Its used on Aluminium alloy, Copper, sliver to remove metal. In this time are used on plastic. Also used to repair Automobiles seats. Its make in falt file , hand file, Half round cross section.

Today I know about PUNCH

AND ITS TYPE , USE, MADE BY WHICH METAL :-

Lets start -

PUNCH (पंच)

Punch are used in industry and Training Institute, Machanical engineer workshop.

Its is used for hardness of marking line on surface of job and metals , sheet.

Material :-Its made by high carbon steel or hard and taper. Punch are made by 10 or 12mm radius of high carbon rod.

1. DOTT PUNCH (डाॅट पंच)

2. CENTRE PUNCH ( सेन्टर पंच)

3. PRICK PUNCH (प्रिक पंच )

4. AUTOMATIC PUNCH (ऑटोमैटिक पंच)

5. BELL PUNCH (बैल पंच)

6. SOLID PUNCH( साॅलिड पंच)

7. HOLLOW PUNCH( हाॅलो पंच)

8. PIN PUNCH ( पिन पंच )

9. DOUBLE END PUNCH (डबल पंच )

1. DOTT PUNCH:- Its made by High carbon steel. Body are punch are nurling for perfect greep. Grind point angle is 60°. Its used for hardest the marking line on job. (FIG 1)

2. CENTRE PUNCH :- Its look like a dott punch only difference is Grind point angle is 90°. Its used for deep the centre point for drill point. (FIG 2)

3. PRICK PUNCH :- Its also look like a dott punch but difference is Grind point angle is 30°. Its used for marking on thin sheet .

4. AUTOMATIC PUNCH:- In this punch not needed hammer. Its made like this type when push upper ponit of punch then mark on surface of jobs. Because in internal body fit a spring stickar(स्ट्राइकर ) on upper.

When a push a stickar then a punch mark on job or sheet. Its is easy to punch.

5. BELL PUNCH :- In punch look like a bell and conical typer. In this internal punch. Its used for find out the center point of round rod with the help of hammer. (Fig 4)

6. SOLID PUNCH :- In this punch not a conical grind but its front point is cylindrical. Its used for hollow in hot rod of black Smith. Its also used in thin sheet when temperature is cold. (FIG 5)

7. HOLLOW PUNCH :- Its type of punch internal body are hollow. Its used for thin sheet or washer for cutting hole. (FIG 6)

8. PIN PUNCH :- In this fornt point is cylindrical or taper. Size of point are more than other punch. Its also used in thin sheet for hole. And its also used for DOWEL PIN or TAPER PIN for out from sheet. Its available in market in 12mm size. (FIG 7)

9. DOUBLE END PUNCH :- Its have two point difference at 3 to 5mm. Its easy for punch because marking point at same length. (Fig 8)

Mostly are used is dott punch, centre punch, and prick punch in work shop and industry's
